The latest software additions and fixes are displayed within the 'What's new ' section of the on-line help (CAD.chm). The on-line help is automatically displayed at the end of the update installation if the option "Yes - I want to read the release notes" is tagged.

After installation, a rollback procedure is available that enables you to restore the VISI version that existed immediately prior to the update. The update procedure makes copies of all the files that will be overwritten and places them in the Rollback folder. If this folder already exists when an update is installed, then its contents are first deleted, and it is repopulated with the files that will be overwritten. This means that after multiple updates it is only possible to rollback to the most recently installed version.

The rollback may be activated in two ways:

1. Using Windows Explorer navigate to the Rollback folder under the installation directory. Double click on Rollback.exe to restore the previous version.
2. Using the start button navigate to All Programs/VISI/Restore previous VISI version.

eDrawings is an industry standard format for sharing project information. VISI provides the ability to publish to the eDrawings format and share project information and protect your design intent while promoting your design skills. The eDrawing file format represents a huge file size reduction and ensures anyone can view your data, regardless of their native CAD system. The model data is published in a native file format that can only be viewed and not be used for other design needs. To do this, you must have the eDrawings viewer installed.

The Professional publisher allows you (the publisher) to control the recipients use of the model by activating / deactivating the ability to measure, mark-up (notes), calculate weight and dynamically section the geometry. The mark-up tools available in the professional publisher allow multiple users to view the same data and share model comments and information using the email-enabled mark-up tools. If multiple people are viewing the same data, it is only necessary to send the mark-up note via email (1kb) and not the complete geometry. Once the recipient opens the note, his own model view is automatically updated to the correct viewing direction, zoom, section with the note displayed.
